Both the back strap extender and our head straps can be detached and attached very quickly and whenever you need too. Some people like to have them on all the time. They are comfortable and can be adjusted accordingly with the buckle and holes and can even be cut to size if required or extra holes can be added.

These are an excellent heavy duty muzzle, and we have sold to security companies, dog trainers and behaviourists. They get the job done and are very affordable, comfortable and lightweight for dogs to wear for long periods.

This basket style of dog muzzle is highly recommended by Veterinarians, Dog Trainers & Behaviourists. They will discourage dogs from biting, chewing and swallowing unwanted objects and will allow for the dog to breathe and pant freely, and drink water and can be worn while the dog is walking, playing or running. When fitted correctly you dog will be able to pant and drink whilst wearing the muzzle. These muzzles and our wire muzzles are less restrictive than the nylon, and I find dogs are more at ease. This in turn allows you to have a happier dog that you can now take out in situations where you otherwise could have not. Muzzles are a great tool to use to allow you to work with your dog to provide situations where before would have seemed impossible. They are a great way to work humanely with all dogs with their problems.

How does my dog drink water with a basket dog muzzle on??

For most basket dog muzzles, the dog should be able to put his snout in a water bowl and lap the water up from inside the basket muzzle or when a tap is turned on dogs drink straight from the tap. All the usual options that dogs have to drink. Just make sure the water bowl has a good depth for the first part of the muzzle to fit into it.

Selecting the correct size muzzle for your dog:

Sizes can vary between breeds and even between sexes.

Whilst we don give suggestions for sizing, we do however provide you with a sizing chart for you to go by and know the size of each muzzles measurements. Your dog should have enough room to pant and partially open there mouth when the muzzle is on. The beauty with this style of muzzle is that the cage is nice and broad and therefore allowing your dog to open his mouth even more (refer to the pic). This style of muzzle makes it ideal as it doesn't have to be a perfect fit, and can be worn by a wide range of different breeds.

Please note: It worth taking the time to measure your dog. Although this is a great general sizing muzzle that doesn have to be a perfect fit for your dog to wear it, it still requires sizing. Some dogs may be way off the shape and size that it won fit at all. It should never be assumed that if your dog is a Large to XL size that it will fit. What we are saying is that you have more room to play with in regards to sizing that what other muzzles offer. Please take the time to measure your dog. It could end up saving you time and money.
