Our JD-5D is the upgraded JD-5 motor integrated protector, D of “5D” means “Digital”, it replaces the conventional thermal relay, adopting the digital processing technology with high luminance LED indicator. Through the built-in current mutual inductor, it detects the 3-phase load current of the e-motors, from the indicated current, you can understand if some malfunction exists such as over-load ,phase lack etc. When the malfunction happens, the inside relay contact cuts down.

Current Detection Through the built-in current mutual inductor, it detects the 3-phase load current, so the 3 phase cords of the protected e-motors must be passed through the three holes of the current mutual inductor. 2.Over-load Protection When the load current exceeds the set current, also the continuous time reaches the set over load action time, this relay will breaks, cut down the motor power. 3. Intelligent Start-up Identification To protect the motor from the wrong action when starting, this protector has the intelligent start-up identification function, when it identifies the motor is in start-up status, it prolongs the over-load action time. 4. Phase Lack Protection When the phase lack happens, this relay breaks, power off the motor. In order to prevent the wrong action from no-load or small current, the phase-lack detection is closed when the current is less than 2A. 
Set the current and action time: Press the “Set”key for 2seconds, “current”indicates, use “up”or“down”key to change the set value.( press“up”or“down”key without stop), after setting , press “ Set”key, you can continue setting the action time, then press “set” to record and exits. Recovery of Alarm( protection) status : When alarm (malfunction) happens , the LED indicator will show the cause of the malfunction ( over-load or phase lack), now the relay breaks, and lock the “cut down” status. You just need to press “up”or“down”key and recover from the protective” cut-down”situation, you also can power on the protector again to go on working.
